Evelyn Phillips

Evelyn Phillips

Evelyn Phillips has been an interior designer over thirty years.

She has worked with acclaimed international interior design practices such as John Stefanidis, Areen and Adrem.

Twenty years ago she set up her own design Company, Appel Man Design.

Appel Man Design creates timeless interiors using the highest quality materials, exquisitely crafted. Her aim is to offer a service focused on the highest possible specification and attention to detail.

Evelyn supervises her design projects every step of the way to completion. She prides herself on her eye for detail and offering a service that exceeds client expectations.

Art has been an important element in her projects and has stimulated her to advance that element further.

She set up and established the VivArtis Festival Art Exhibition and Sculpture Trail sixteen years ago with her husband Gwyn and it has grown to be one of the largest Art Exhibitions in the South of England.

Her personal connection with artists and clients and the advice she gives is memorable and helps her various activities stand apart from all other shows.

Evelyn has encouraged many artists to achieve impressive profiles in the arts world and a number have become very successful.

Gwyn Phillips

Gwyn Phillips

Gwyn Phillips has been in education for most of his working life specialising in Economics and Business Studies teaching.

For the last 25 years he has worked at King Edward’s School, Witley, in a variety of roles including Deputy Headmaster.

He established the VivArtis Arts Festival and worked with Evelyn over the last fifteen years to build the Art Exhibition and Sculpture trail into a major regional art event.

He has been very active in promoting the performing and visual arts at the school and in the local community.

This has included the creation of a specialised Dance and Drama Studio, a dedicated Art Gallery, installing large pieces of sculpture in the school grounds as well as promoting drama and performing in a number of productions.
