Charity Art Exhibition

London Bus Art & Sculpture Exhibition.

We visited Newton Valence in Hampshire to see the The London Bus Art & Sculpture Exhibition hosted by Linda Westall. The bus was the catering centre and some delicious food and wine was on offer.

Outside there were some beautifully crafted animals by sculptor Jon Barrett-Danes. The small flock of sheep were my favourites and they were in a perfect setting. There was more of his distinctive work inside the house.

Inside the house the paintings of Linda Westall, Wendy Richards, Tuema Pattie & Ruth Barrett-Danes were on display. Linda had work with horses, dogs and a zebra as subjects but showing off her versatility there were also landscapes and woodland scenes. Wendy works mainly in oil with a palette knife and her scenes of London are very familiar. Tuema Pattie paints colourful abstract scenes drawing on her knowledge of the South Downs National Park. Ruth Barrett-Danes is an artist printmaker and her focus was on woodlands and scenes from nature.

Help for Heroes and Hart Wildlife Rescue are the beneficiaries of this enterprising show. Where will the London Bus appear next?

There was so much to see and the video (below) is a part representation of some of the art that caught our eye.
