Cross Barn‘s Art Exhibition at Odiham showcases artists from Jamel Akib’s art group

Cross Barn’s has become a regular exhibition for us to visit after the close of our own exhibition and sculpture trail. Over the last few years more and more of Jamel Akib’s art group have their work on show at AppArt’s annual exhibition. They are an enthusiastic group with widely different styles and subjects and their bold and lively paintings reflect their mentors influence.

Each year we marvel at the progress the artists are making and several now have their own exhibitions at prestigious galleries or have even set up their own galleries. This year they managed to mount an exhibition in just a few hours before the public were admitted. The video below gives you an idea of the quality of the work and is a small selection of some of our favourites. The home made cakes, savouries and drinks add to the whole experience and all the money raised from their sale goes to local charities “Treloars” and “Robbies Rally.”

We really enjoyed this year’s exhibition and it was a chance to catch up and meet the many artists that are becoming regular participants at AppArt’s Easter Exhibition.
