The Sculpture Trail at RHS Wisley is the biggest show of the year in the SSS calendar. This year the trail route was slightly different and I think it was better leading you from the entrance via the large glass house through the grounds to the Italian walled garden. I thought the placing of the works was effective, especially in the rock gardens surrounding the streams and ponds. There was a good mixture of figurative and abstract pieces and several caught my eye. It was good to see that larger works by Malcolm West, Christine Charlesworth and Ronny Dongo had been bought and sales seemed to be going well when I visited during the second week.
A tremendous amount of hard work goes into putting on a large trail like this and I for one thought it was very worthwhile and I look forward to next year.
